We’ll look back at 2014 as one of the cultural low points when it comes to pointless conflicts. And social media was the source for many of the most hilarious Rap beefs of 2014.

Wale and Meek Mill

“Tweefing” and subliminal or overt Instagram shots involved B-listers ranging from Lil Durk to Soulja Boy and Gillie Da Kid. As far as Hip-Hop is concerned, very few of these tiffs turned violent, so we can all look back at some of the most hilarious Rap beefs of 2014 and laugh.

Diddy vs. Drake

Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs allegedly put hands on Drake while in Miami for stealing his “0 to 100” beat, but both of these guys are too media savvy to let any footage or confirmations leak.

Drake vs. Tyga

It’s entirely possible these two (soon to be former?) YMCMB artists carried on a subliminal beef all summer with hidden jabs in their songs accented by Drake and OVO members “liking” photos of Blacc Chyna on Instagram.

Damon Dash and Jim Jones

Dame Dash vs. Jim Jones

We hoped Harlem would stick together, but Jim Jones took whatever issues he had with Dame Dash public in a profanity-laced Instagram tirade in early November.

Chris Brown vs. Drake

Long story short, Breezy’s short fuse got the best of him after his breakup with Karrueche Tran, and he accused his former boo of sleeping with Drake. Both Drizzy and Karrueche denied the accusation.

Gillie Da Kid vs. Soulja Boy

A purported boxing match between these two has been nixed, but at its peak, this Twitter-inspired feud featured a lot of gun talk on Soulja Boy’s end.

Snoop Dogg vs. Iggy Azalea

The meme that Snoop called a joke leveled underlying charges of cultural appropriation and being generally unattractive in Iggy Azalea’s direction. Ultimately T.I. played peacemaker, but not before we all got our share of clicks and laughs.

Jeezy vs. Freddie Gibbs

Former business partners Jeezy and Gibbs took turns on the morning radio circuit after Gibbs kept sending verbal ether at Jeezy in the form of diss songs. Both men appear to have moved on.

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather

50 Cent vs. Floyd Mayweather

50 Cent’s been going hard at Floyd Mayweather since the champ was released in 2012. The most hilarious moment was arguably 50 making fun of Floyd’s reading skills. Thankfully, 50 put the conflict to the side after their mutual friend Earl Hayes was involved in a murder/suicide in December.

Azealia Banks vs. T.I.

Azealia Banks’ general dislike for Iggy Azalea sparked an ongoing beef between Azealia and Tip that found T.I. calling Azealia a “musty mouthed thot.” In kind, Banks joked that T.I. sounded like he was taught to read by the freedmen’s bureau.

Game vs. Lil Durk

A club standoff suddenly turned to beef between Game and Lil Durk. But after a few songs no one will remember without a Google search, these two got on a phone call and squashed their beef like civilized men.

Mistah F.A.B. abd DJ Mustard

Mistah F.A.B. vs. DJ Mustard

After taking a fade during a miscommunication with DJ Mustard’s camp, Mistah F.A.B. refused retaliation and avoided any further beef. Sometimes cooler heads really do prevail.

Iggy Azalea vs. Nicki Minaj

Until they had a quick meeting back stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, it felt like Nicki was one of the many people in Rap (sometimes justifiably) throwing shade at Iggy Azalea.

Migos

Migos vs. GBE

You know the beef is real when someone gets jumped at an Olive Garden.

Wale and Meek Mill

Wale vs. Meek Mill

In arguably the weakest internal squad beefing in history, Meek Mill got engaged in a Twitter beef with MMG label mate Wale for not tweeting about his album…which has yet to drop.
