Since the mid 90’s Shawn and Marlon Wayans were seemingly joined at the hip when it came to their comedic shows and movies. But for the past few years Marlon has been going out on his own and attempting to carve out his own niche while trying to prove that he’s more than just a part of a comedic legacy.

Marlon stopped by The Breakfast Club to explain just how important it is to him to be more than just a part of a famous family.

With a few parody films of his own in his back pocket and his show Marlon having been picked up by NBC and set to debut in January, Marlon’s objective is clear and seems to be coming into fruition.

Right now he’s currently doing standup shows across the board in an effort to continue to build towards his legend explaining to Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee that even though he’s thankful for his legacy as a Wayans, he feels that he “ain’t shit till Marlon means something. “

That said, here’s 8 things we learned from Marlon Wayans on The Breakfast Club.
