Meek Mill is the latest rapper to engage in Twitter beef with Shyne. The discrepancy jump started on Sunday,= (January 6) when Shyne Po praised Cassidy’s 10 minute diss track “R.A.I.D.” via Twitter. Meek wasn’t very appreciative of the former Bad Boy rapper’s words, immediately deeming him a hater due to similar situations with Kendrick Lamar and his boss, Rick Ross.
Meek tweeted, “Ayo @OriginalShyne I see u hate all the young n****s that’s out here getting! I can’t respect ya for that!,” followed by “A @OriginalShyne talkin about shout out 2 a n***a that’s no good in the hood..I’m in my hood right now..iced out foreign whips..That’s not G.”
Shyne quickly replied, “@MeekMill truth ain’t hate! @CASSIDY_LARSINY ate your food! Your boss is Donnie brasco I got zero respect for that young!”
From there, Meek went on a short rant that concluded with, “I guess u gotta die or go 2 jail for u suppose 2 b o.g’s 2 have respect but if so I don’t want it just call me a rich man!”
Shyne, on the other hand, decided to salute Meek for being “a street general living by the rules of honor and integrity,” and gave him a pass for his business moves (i.e. signing to Rick Ross).
Previous tweets from Meek like “Y’all serious? Or y’all just want a N***a 2 drop some new sh-t?” and “This how u can tell weirdos making a big impact in the world right now!,” allude that the Philadelphia is irritated by claims that Cassidy got the best of him on “R.A.I.D.” The only way to champion that is to strike back, lyrically of course, Meek.
