Looks like the mainstream is starting to catch up on Miguel. The R&B crooner was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night.
The 27-year-old hit the stage sporting sunglasses and a leather jacket to set off a funky rendition his hit single “Adorn.” When he returned, the singer performed the falsetto friendly “How Many Drinks?,” which is the next proper single from his Kaleidoscope Dream album.
The aforementioned project was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Urban Contemporary category this year but lost out to Frank Ocean’s channel ORANGE. Recently, Miguel covered VIBE magazine and also took a fatal L in J. Cole’s video for “Power Trip.” That’s just about the only time a case of the latter can still result in having a good week.
