Tyga dropped by NYC’s Power 105.1 today to chop it up with The Breakfast Club, and he was pretty candid. Being asked about fatherhood, his music, and everything else under the sun, Tyga kept his cool. “I think your craft is based on your surroundings,” Tyga says about how his new life affected his music. “I haven’t changed my lyrics or nothin.'”

Of course the Breakfast Club jumped right in to ask about the controversy surrounding Rick Ross losing his Reebok deal. Tyga also has a deal with Reebok and had a few things to say on the matter. “Dealing with big companies like that, you have to be conscious of what you do if you want to build that relationship or see more for your career,” he says.

“With situations like that it’s kind of like…you’re endorsing a rapper. Being a rapper and having that lifestyle, being from the streets or whatever it’s like you deal with stuff like that so you just gotta either – ya know like Tiger Woods and Nike, sometimes you gotta hold it down.”

Tyga hasn’t been in touch with Reebok since the controversy began and only recently heard that there was a controversy at all.

The “Rack City” also went on to clear the air regarding MTV’s Busters, which aimed to “expose” Tyga as a suburbanite through a televised “be the next big rapper” style competition. Tyga admits he was 16 and broke and was paid $1,500 to show up and make a fool out of himself. Case closed.
