NBA players are ordinarily provided sneakers via sponsorships and such to wear in games, but very few hoopers can go in the stash and pull out some heat to stunt on game day. Off the top of the dome, Gilbert Arenas, Quentin Richardson, and pretty much anyone on Jordan Brand’s roster comes to mind, but Nate Robinson has stepped out as the heir apparent of the Air Jordan collectors in the league.
ESPN recently caught up with the Chicago Bulls guard to sneak a peak at what’s in his arsenal of footwear. Let’s preface this by saying that what they show only scratches the surface of Robinson’s collection, since it was limited to Jordan sneakers.
The Seattle native displayed everything from classics like the Cement 3s (n “Fire Red,”) and the Concord 11s to exclusives like the chocolate brown, premium leather Bin 2s. We will say that he has a clear affinity for 2s, 5s, 6s and 11s. It’s also worth noting that Robinson keeps the kicks he showed off at the United Center just to have an assortment to chose from.
Hit the gallery to see a few of the flicks from the photo shoot, as well as him balling in Air Yeezy 2. Stuntin’ has no bounds.
