September promises a list of noteworthy album releases. One is set to come from Danny Brown, who will finally debut the follow up to 2011’s critically claimed XXX titled Old.
With a little less than 30 days until his new music permeates iTunes libraries near and far, the Detroit rapper unveils the project’s artwork. Prior to seeing the cover first hand, we assumed that it would be as quirky as Brown’s persona. We were right.
An illustration of Brown donning an admiral’s outfit appears in a frame that appears to be melting. Perhaps this is a result of the drugs he proudly uses. In any case, the Fool’s Gold MC music is always a trip, for lack of a better term, so this cover is fitting.
Fans can expect guest appearances from artists like Freddie Gibbs, ScHoolboy Q, Mr MFN Exquire, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul, Charli XCX and Purity Ring on Old. Be sure to check that out when it drops September 30. Find the art on the next page.
