It’s New Years Eve folks. At this point, celebrations, “turn ups,” etc. are imminent, but it’s important that this important aspect of the night goes unhitched, musically, when the ball drops.

That said, Hip-Hop Wired has your best intentions in mind for tonight. We’ve assembled a list of songs (some new, others a bit older) that’ll ring off your new year properly. Consider this a gift from us to you.

To all of our readers out there, be safe and have fun. You deserve it. Happy New Years in advance.

French Montana – “Ain’t Worried About Nothin”

You’ve made it a year, and frankly, no one can tell you a thing. In fact, play this record in response to all questions from midnight until 1 AM.

Rich Homie Quan – “Man Of The Year”

This song is the sleeper on the list, but it’s potent nonetheless.

Kanye West – “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”

There’s a reason this tune is a staple in the G.O.O.D. Music founder’s catalog. It’s been six years since the song released, and it still rings off.

Jay Z ft. Rick Ross – “F**kWithMeYouKnowIGotIt”

Hov and Ricky Rozay have stellar list of collaborations, but the duo lacked a proper club anthem until they produced this Magna Carta Holy Grail cut.

Puff Daddy ft. The Notorious B.I.G., Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, & Lil Kim – “Mo Money, Mo Problems”

Diddy has a lifetime heater on his hands with this track. Play this on New Years so you know it’s real.

Dr. Dre ft. Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, & Kurupt – “The Next Episode”

Now, you know we had to represent for the West Coast.

Drake ft. Soulja Boy – “We Made It”

A bevy of people are quoting a Soulja Boy that’s old because of Drizzy. And you think folks aren’t going to play this when the clock strikes midnight?

Common – “Celebrate

Leave it to the Chicago OG to create a tune that brings happiness to any room it’s played it. If you’re in a laid back atmosphere, this is the record to blast.

ScHoolboy Q – “Man Of The Year”

Quincy evoked the spirit of braggadocio on this cut. This is made to cap off the illest shindig imaginable.

Drake – “Trophies”

Your opinions on this track may vary, but it undeniably makes listeners feel like the (wo)man.
