Columbus Short is embroiled in a domestic violence situation that doesn’t seem to be causing him too much stress.  Right after TMZ outted his alleged murder/suicide plot, the 31-year-old Scandal actor tweeted out a flier promoting a club appearance in L.A. His timing was awkward.

He eventually got around to addressing the rumors with a statement, that didn’t necessarily confirm or deny anything. “As you all know, lately my personal life has been subjected to a lot of press,” he said. “As much as I would like to provide my side of events, my counsel has instructed me that a Court of law is the only and proper venue to deal with such matters. Accordingly, I must refrain from making any comments even though that is very difficult for me under the circumstances. Thank you to my fans for your continued support during this difficult time.”

Short probably should’ve just left it at that, but he didn’t.

Less than 24 hours later, he called into the Tom Joyner Morning Show and pretty much ruined the whole purpose of that prepared statement of his. About a minute into the bizarre exchange he called Joyner a “n*gga,” then he got weird when asked about his wife’s review of his new music. “Uh, I don’t care. How about I don’t care.”

Then there’s the last piece of today’s puzzle. TMZ spoke with Columbus on his way to the aforementioned club, last night. He didn’t seem fazed by anything. “Everything’s going great, God is good everyday. Every day he’s good!”

He also added, “I don’t know what the noise is about.”

Since he’s so uninformed, maybe he should Google himself. That way he’ll have an idea of what the “noise is about.”
