Award shows are when you really appreciate that Twitter, and in this case Black Twitter, is free. With the BET Awards 2014 airing last night came a plethora of slander, with celebrities squarely in the crossfire.
All the worthy accomplishments of artists such as Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown and Bow Wow were off the table as social media proceeded to go in with memes and smart comments about weight gain, poor fashion decisions and anything else deemed offensive and generally clown worthy to the audience.
BET itself also wasn’t safe as flubs were immediately put on blast (there is no “t” in Richie, smh).
