In a malicious occurrence of events, the death toll continued to rise in northwestern China after a man attacked a kindergarten class.
With the latest victim dying today [May 11], the murders have risen to nine, which included five boys and two girls.
A man viciously murdered a teacher and seven kindergarten students with a kitchen meat cleaver, then returned to his home to commit suicide, according to the state media.
Along with the children and teacher that died as a result of the attack, 11 children were wounded in the melee as two were hospitalized in serious condition.
In regards to motivation, officials have not found any reason as to why the 48-year-old, Wu Huanming, wanted to attack these students at a private school located in Shaanxi province.
This attack also tacked another notch as it was at least the forth attack on school children that has occurred in the last month.
