Keke Palmer Broadway’s First Black Cinderella

It’s been announced that talk show host Keke Palmer will take the role of Cinderella starting September 9, making her the first Black Cinderella to appear on Broadway.
The 21-year-old actress/singer will be making her professional stage debut at the Broadway Theatre. “I’m sooooo excited to be doing broadway for the first time, as Cinderella!! DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!” she wrote on social media.
According to Broadway World, Palmer will also become the youngest actress to portray Cinderella on Broadway, in addition to being the first African American.
