Twista has always been a one of a kind. He details his come up and signature delivery on a very special appearance with The Breakfast Club.

With his ninth album Dark Horse now in stores, the Chicago native is letting the world know he hasn’t gone anywhere and the flows are still razor sharp.

Obviously his 22 year career is filled with many ups, downs and highlights we will never forget. Naturally DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God asked all the questions we have always been curious about.

So we present the top 10 things we learned from The Breakfast Club Twista Interview. Hearing about his beef with Treach of Naughty By Nature was our most interesting moment. Let us know what your favorite moment in the comments section.

1. Novelty Raps

During the early stages of his career, Twista was one of the few rapping at his speed. Obviously it created much doubt in him but thankfully the fans grew to love it.

2. The Guinness World Record

Twista is no longer the fastest rapper in the world. Rebel XD took the record in 2007 with 852 syllables in 42 seconds!

3. Bone Thugs Beef

Twista explained that it originated when Bone thought Twista was biting their style. He attributes being young at the time therefore all the diss records. They have since squashed any problems.

4. Writing

Surprisingly Twista doesn’t write his rhymes in the fast pace that he delivers them. He admitted it might take him an entire day to finish a song.

5. Chiraq

Believe it or not Twista still lives in Chicago. Thankfully the streets have a respect for him so he doesn’t encounter problems while he is making moves.

6. Kanye

While he hasn’t spoken to Kanye in sometime, there isn’t any beef or problems between the two.

7. The ROC

While Dame Dash and Jay Z wanted to sign Twista, he was locked into a firm deal with Atlantic Records so no official move to Roc-A-Fella Records ever was made.

8. Beef With Treach

Treach dissed Twista early on his career. Twista responded with the classic diss “Suicide” but admitted he was hurt when he heard Naughty By Nature was getting at him. Treach came to meet him in Chicago and the two talked things out.

9. Recording

Even though he flows like no one else in the game, Twista is very much a mere mortal in the recording booth. He does punch in and rarely does verses in one take.

10. Diddy

Puffy wasn’t too keen on Twista’s fast flow when they first met in the 1990’s and encouraged him to slow it down so people could understand his verses better. Thankfully Twista stuck to his guns.
