The Breakfast Club’s latest interview is another one for the books. Power 105 interviewed earlier today the legendary Capone-N-Noreaga, and discussed in details how the rap duo came about.

As part of the the radio station’s Throwback Thursdays series, CNN recounted the tale of how they met. ‘Pone and Nore have trekked quite a journey, to say the least.

From serving time alongside the Central Park Five to bromances to almost being signed with Junior M.A.F.I.A., the Hip-Hop heavyweights left nothing out from the story about their coming-of-age.

See 11 things we learned from their lighthearted chat, below. You’re in for some laughs if nothing else.

Prodigy

For the record, Capone has no beef with Prodigy. “I can’t have a problem with someone who can’t beat me” he said.

Weed Chronicles

The first time Capone-N-Noreaga ever fought, it was over something as trivial as weed. Only brothers, right?

Commissary

The aforementioned occurred because Capone had recently been released from jail and his mentality was that of someone still behind bars. Smh.

Basketball

Their bromance began when the two joined forces on the court while serving time in jail.

College Bound

Both Nore and Capone attended the college unit. And according to Noreaga, Capone is “mad smart.”

Central Park 5

CNN were locked up with Yusef Salaam and Kevin Richardson.

Biggie

The late Notorious B.I.G. wanted to sign Capone to Junior Mafia.

Plagiarism

According to Capone, rapper AZ and producer L.E.S. stole his Sugar Hill song.

Stage Hoe

When Biggie went up to Nas back in the day to brag about “Capone, from Queensbridge” Nas went bonkers. The two legends ended up making Capone perform that same night with several rap vets, including Mobb Deep.

Meanwhile

Nore was at home, living out his “bad era” as Capone got all the shine as a solo act. That’s what he gets for being too scared to rap for B.I.G.! (J/k).

Lessons & New Five Percent

Nore spoke passionately about CNN’s new album (Lessons & New Five Percent) and catering to their fans with it, not the new generation.
