From the presentations of the uber popular Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, a new Nicki Minaj mobile video game is being conjured up.
Rapper video games are all the rage these days, with artists like Tyga and Meek Mill jumping headfirst into the market and winning big. Glu Mobile has eyed The Pinkprint for their next title and they’re looking to make it a big one.
“I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, to Glu’s growing list of celebrity partners,” Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO, said in a Business Wire statement. “Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million* social followers and a new music category. We look forward to combining Nicki’s distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu’s celebrity social gaming expertise.”
Glu Mobile will release additional details on the game’s development and Nicki Minaj’s involvement down the line. With the addition of Nicki Minaj’s 42.3 million on Facebook, 20 million on Twitter, 30.4 million on Instagram, 9.1 million on Vevo, and 163.4 thousand on Vine following (barring fan overlap on the various platforms), Glu Mobile is boasting a celebrity gaming platform supported by nearly 650 million total social followers.
