It’s a well-documented fact that Nicki Minaj is a family oriented woman and she put her benevolence on display over the weekend as she happily splurged on her older brother, Jelani Maraj’s wedding.
“I would cross the ocean for U. I would go & bring U the moon. Promise U. For U I will,” Nicki, 32, captioned in one of the many pics of the evening with those famous Monica lyrics. “I love my brother so much man. Can’t believe I cried during his wedding and his first dance like a punk. May God bless him and his union. Tonight has been one of my favorite nights of all time. I do anything to see my brothers smile.”
According to the investigative team over at Page Six, the shindig held at the Coral House on Milburn Lake in Baldwin, New York, cost an estimated $30,000 and hosted around 200 guests. Both her parents, Robert Maraj, and her mother, gospel singer Carol Maraj (she get it from her mama) were also in attendance.
A source at the event told the Post, “Nicki couldn’t have been sweeter, she . . . looked really happy for her brother, and she didn’t perform or take the spotlight during the reception. She seemed to be making a point not to upstage the bride, saying it was her big day.”
The Pinkprint reportedly stayed until 12:30 and then it was off to Jones Beach where she clocked in another show because the grind only stops for fleeting moments these days.
