Today, August 26, is Women’s Equality Day and the 95th anniversary women earned the right to vote in this country.

While there is still ground to gain for the better sex to gain equality in all areas of the workplace, in the game of Hip-Hop, regardless of gender, you have to take what you want or be left out in the dust.

Which is why in gives us great pleasure to highlight these female rappers who treated their guest features like a late lunch on an empty stomach.

Nicki Minaj Vs. Kanye West & Jay Z (you too, Rick Ross) on “Monster”

Nicki was still a rookie when she bodied The Throne on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Her confidence hasn’t been shaken since.

Lauryn Hill Vs. The Fugees on The Score

There’s a reason why Kanye and the rest of the world wish Lauryn’s heart still was in “rhyming.” Pick a song, any song, on the 1996 multi-platinum, critically acclaimed album and you’ll find a sharp and deadly MC who rocked hoop earrings and an afro.

Lil Kim Vs. Puff Daddy & The Family on “All About The Benjamins (Remix)”

The line “Wanna bumble with the Bee” needs to be added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry as soon as humanly possible.

Foxy Brown on Capone-N-Noreaga on “Bang Bang”

CNN thought they were simply creating a “Tunnel banger” on 2000’s arguable classic album, The Reunion, when Inga pulled out the shank and proceeded to knife up all things Lil Kim.

Da Brat Vs. Jermaine Dupri & Krayzie Bone on “Hate On Me”

As the first of female rappers to go platinum, Da Brat always proved she was not to be trifiled with when it came to fast rap.

Remy Martin Vs. Fat Joe on “Lean Back”

Before jail iced an otherwise promising career, Remy Ma proved she could flex with the fellas on every track she appeared on. Here’s the best example circa 2004.

Shawnna Vs. Twista & Ludacris on “R.P.M.”

It takes a mighty tongue to be able to lick shots faster than Twista on any record and let’s just say Chi-Town was well-represented this time around.

Gangsta Boo Vs. Three 6 Mafia on “Gangsta Ni**az”

Lady Boo had a habit of not playing fair while rhyming alongside her Tear The Club Up bros and here’s a prime example of such a practice.

Trina Vs. Trick Daddy on “Nann Ni**a”

Miami rap was coming back into the forefront at the top of the 00s and Trina all but solidified a lenghty–and lucrative career with this reckless verse.

Rah Digga Vs. Flipmode Squad on “To My People”

Dirty Harriet arguably has never kicked a wack verse on wax, which has a resulted in a few of her male counterparts being left in the dust.

Diamond & Princess Vs. Crime Mob on “Knuck If You Buck”

Most fans of urban entertainment today solely know Diamond for her sensational relationship with Lil Scrappy on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, but she was a formidable rapper at the start of her career. Same can be said from her ex-friend, Princess, who has since faded into obscurity.

SolĂ© Vs. JT Money on “Who Dat”

The Poison Clan rapper got his first and only hit record with the 1999 jam, which would go on to launch Ginuwine’s future wifey’s music career.

Lil Kim Vs. Mobb Deep on “Quiet Storm (Remix)”

Simply put, this is one of the greatest guest appearances of all-time.

Nicki Minaj Vs. Big Sean on “Dance (A$$) (Remix)”

Half the world weren’t even aware of Sean Don’s MC Hammer update before The Pinkprint hopped on the caboose. The rest is platinum history.
