Despite attaining some level of wealth and success, these 13 celebrities involved in shootouts found themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time when the guns started going off.

Suge Knight

The former Death Row executive caught some led in 2005 at a MTV VMA pre party, and he was also capped at 1Oak in Hollywood in 2014. The latter was also at a VMA-related party.

50 Cent

The tale of 50 Cent surviving nine shots at close range in 2001 lives in infamy. Fif maintains Darryl “Hommo” Brown, who was killed in retaliation three weeks after the shooting, carried out the attempt.

Kendrick Lamar

After years of hinting that he might have caught a body, Kendrick dropped a flat out admission on Dr. Dre’s “Deep Water” by rhyming, “Once upon a time, I shot a nia on accident / I tried to kill him but I guess I needed more practicing…”

Rick Ross

Rozay’s Rolls Royce was Swiss cheesed up in January of 2013. While the incident came a month after Ross received threats from the Gangster Disciples, there were no suspects named in the shooting.

Benzino

That saying about blood being thicker than water went right out of the window when Benzino was shot by his nephew at a funeral procession in 2014.

Shyne and Diddy

On December 27, 1999, Shyne discharged his weapon in Club New York. The incident resulted in two injured victims and Shyne subsequently serving 10 years in a federal prison. Interestingly enough, Diddy, who was also present, walked away a free man.

Stephen Jackson

A 2006 strip club visit gone wrong resulted in Stephen Jackson firing his gun five times after being hit by a car and punched in the mouth. Jackson ultimately found himself on another team and was hit with charges of criminal recklessness.

Lil Kim

In 2001, officials determined Lil Kim was in a nearby limousine when Efrain Ocasio was shot in the back outside Hot 97’s New York offices. Even if she didn’t do the shooting, she got hit with a $50,000 and a year in prison for lying to a grand jury.

Remy Ma

While she avoided more serious charges, Remy Ma was still sentenced to eight years in prison for two charges of assault related to a 2008 incident that left an associate of hers nursing two shots to the torso.

Tupac

Aside from the tragic 1996 shooting that ultimately took his life, Tupac Shakur shot two off-duty policemen in 1993, and roughly a year later, he was ambushed and shot near Quad Studios in New York.

Plaxico Burress

Is it really a shootout if you negligently cap yourself because you left your gun off safety? Either way, former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was left with a wound in his thigh, and two felony charges for his self-injury in 2008.

Chris Johnson

Current Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson sustained a gunshot to the shoulder and one of his acquaintances was fatally shot in what officials determined to be a drive-by shooting in March of 2015.
