Gilbert Arenas won himself no favors today after his Instagram post regarding WNBA players’ looks went viral.
The retired Washington Wizard, who has been accused on numerous occasions of being less than civil with women, compared America’s female professional basketball players to “Orange is the New Black characters” while posting sexist videos of scantily clad models hooping it up.
The league stuck up for its players and released a statement condemning the comments.
“WNBA players are strong, talented and determined individuals who give it their all on the court and serve as inspiring role models to millions around the world. They should be celebrated for their accomplishments, not disparaged with ignorant insults.”
And now he has to answer to some of the players as well.
