Sports media entity Bleacher Report and streetwear brand KITH have launched a pop up shop in NYC. Located in the SoHo neighborhood, the spots offers limited edition gear from the streetwear brand, create social media driven content and serves as a creative and presentation space.
The store is now open to the public daily from noon to 8pm until June 30. Visitors will be able to pick up the KITH x BR99 capsule collection that include tees, caps and accessories. There is also a KITH treats cereal bar on site and the new 4th of July, Team USA-inspired collection will be on sale (and quickly sell out) when available (Monday, July 27), too.
Bleacher Report, which is part of Turner Sports, is expanding as an “aspirational brand” and the pop up embodies these goals for the sports culture destination. It hopes to attract the same Bleacher Report devotees into their world. Case in point, on the second floor is a face swap studio where editors will be on hand to create content.
As for the name, the B.R. is obvious while the 99 is a homage to sports jerseys (think: Warren Sapp, Wayne Gretzky) and retail (.99 cents).
The #BR99 pop up is located at 79 Greene St., New York, NY, 10012. Check out photos of the space below.
Definitely worth checking out.
