The videogame industry must’ve learned a thing or two from the Jordan Brand’s method of retroing some of the 90’s best products. Aside from Nintendo bringing back that mini Super Nintendo System, now videogame company Capcom is about to unleash a limited edition Street Fighter 2 SNES cartridge.
Engadget is reporting that Capcom and iam8bit are teaming up to produce two different versions of the classic game cartridge with one coming in “Opaque Ryu Headband Red” (4,500 copies), and the other featuring a “Glow-in-the-Dark Blanka Green” (1,000 copies).
Unfortunately, customers won’t be able to choose which cartridge they get as the game will be coming in the same packaging so buyers will have to hope to luck out to get the color that they want.
The game will actually be playable for anyone who still has a working SNES or a compatible system, and it will come with a “Premium” instructions booklet (remember those?) along with some retro pack-in extras.
If you’re interested in copping this classic retro then prepare to shell out $100 and pre-order now so you can gets to fightin’ come November.
