A few weeks ago Fabolous and Jadakiss finally got around to releasing their highly anticipated album Friday on Elm Street and the project was so well received from fans and peers alike that a tour in support of the project is currently in the works.
Capitalizing on the buzz that the album has generated Fab and Kiss swung through The Breakfast Club to speak on how the notion for the collaboration came about while touching on other topics such as Ma$e’s “The Oracle” and Jadakiss’ future wedding song. Like way into the future wedding song.
Here are the 8 things we learned from Fabolous and Jadakiss on The Breakfast Club.

1. Fab’s Idea
Fabolous approached Kiss about collaborating on a project because they kept doing freestyle Friday’s and Fab decided they should capitalize on their buzz.

2. Missed Feature
Jadakiss says he was supposed to be featured on “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” but things didn’t work out. That would’ve been an interesting addition. He also confirms that Ma$e wrote Puff’s verse on that record.
3. Ma$e
Kiss thinks that Ma$e’s “The Oracle” was good for Hip-Hop and Fab says he thinks Ma$e’s delivery was a bit “rusty” on it. Fab also recalls that Ma$e called him the day it dropped and the first thing he said was “I had to spank him.”
4. Problem Averted
Interestingly enough, both Ma$e and Cam’ron were supposed to show up to Fab’s birthday party the day the record dropped. Cam even said he was going to play the record once he got there. Fab was nervous about the tension that would’ve created but luckily for him none of the two swung through the soiree.
5. Meek Mill
Fab feels that Meek Mill is basically being made an example of by the judicial system than actually trying to be helped by it. Can’t say we disagree.

6. 2016 Election
The duo admit that “Talk About It” was done before last year’s election which is why it refers to things like Hillary Clinton being the President. They feel the record maintains it’s relevance.

7. Kiss’s Wedding Song Choice
Jadakiss says when he gets married he’s gonna have Fabolous perform “So Into You” but with Ashanti singing the hook as she was supposed to. Fab says he’s gotten offers to perform that song at other weddings but turns them down.

8. Puff’s Gag Order
Kiss remembers part of The Lox’s release from Bad Boy included a gag order that prohibited them from mentioning Puff’s name. That explains why Puff’s name was muted on one of Kiss’ bars on “Recognize.” That wouldn’t have been worth paying $1,000,000 for.
