We are definitely still recuperating from Sony’s PlayStation showcase, but we definitely made time to see what Nintendo had to offer at this year’s E3 conference.
The house that Mario built played it safe by only focusing on the games that are definitely on the way for Nintendo Switch owners. Highly-anticipated titles like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Fortnite, Pokemon: let’s Go! all got some time to shine during the conference. If you happened to miss the Nintendo’s annual showing for whatever reason, we got you covered.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
The unique fighting game is making its Nintendo Switch debut December 7th and will feature every single Smash Bros. character that appeared in the games over the years. That is over 60 characters which also includes DLC characters from the Wii U and 3DS versions which means this game is MASSIVE. Nintendo also revealed Samus’ arch-enemy Ridley will be making his Smash Bros. debut, Amibo support and a Super Smash Bros special edition GameCube controller for Melee fans. You will need a USB adapter just like the Wii U to use the controller on the Switch.

Fortnite
In news that we knew was coming, Nintendo finally announced Fortnite will be coming to the Switch in its full glory. BUT news was just announced that Sony will not allow crossplay between its players and Nintendo Switch owners.
Bummer.
Fortnite is available RIGHT NOW for FREE in Nintendo’s e-shop. Enjoy the announcement trailer for Fortnite’s Switch version below.
Super Mario Party
Nintendo Switch is definitely one of those systems you break out on game night. The Switch will be getting a Super Mario Party game as expected to allow people to enjoy the console like those actors were doing in the commercials. Super Mario Party will take full advantage of the console’s capabilities with its unique party games when it arrives on the console October 5th.
Pokémon: Let’s Go!
Last but not least, the next installment in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Let’s Go, Eevee had some major announcements as well. On top of it’s November 16th, we also learned the games will work in combination with the Pokémon Go mobile game. Pokémon: Let’s Go developed by Game Freak is considered to be a mainline RPG game but is specifically designed to attract newcomers to the world of Pokémon and those who still play Pokémon Go. So, in essence, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Let’s Go, Eevee is just a version of the mobile title on the Nintendo Switch due to how similar the games play.
During the conference new peripheral for Pokémon fans to go nuts over was introduced as well. A fully functional Poké Ball plus was revealed and will come pre-loaded with the super rare Pokémon Mew. You will be able to use the device in the game and store your Pokémon. It will vibrate and whatever Pokémon is inside will make their different noises.
Another item that will be hard to find.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Let’s Go, Eevee both release on November 16th, 2018 a new core Pokémon RPG is slated for release in November 2019. The games each will cost $59.99, and a Poké Ball plus bundle will cost you $99.99.
Get ready to catch them all on your Nintendo Switch and watch the reveal below.
