MTV’s Wild ‘N Out might be known as the Nick Cannon show but the improv comedy series has developed a few stars in their own right, namely DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean.
Though they’ve come up as individual comics they’ve recently came together to form the threesome known as The 85 South Show. An internet/traveling show, The 85 South Show has been building a core following thanks to the talents of the aforementioned comedians.
Today (Oct. 23), the three jokers checked into The Breakfast Club where they clowned around every chance they got while giving listeners some insight into how they go about their lives.
Touching on topics from sex to why Karlous Miller thinks he got fired from Wild N’ Out, the interview was all kinds of comedy.
Here are the 9 things we learned from DC Young Fly, Chico Bean and Karlous Miller on The Breakfast Club.
1. Whose Idea Was It?
DC and Chico say that forming the 85 South Show was actually Miller’s idea. Being that they hung out regardless he felt they should take their conversations on the road and make a show of it.
2. Freestylin’ It
The trio admits that their road shows aren’t scripted. They basically get on and freestyle their routines and basically improvise whatever they do. Karlous Miller even brings his father along with him but admits once his pops gets too drunk and “does too much” they usually end up kicking him out.
3. Come Here
DC, Chico and Karlous confirm the rumor: they’re bringing “fingering” back.” Be wary of DC Young Fly though cause he work his digits like a jackhammer in these streets. Lous for his part won’t thumb any booties unless he knows her birthday, mama and know their last name. “You gotta have some standards.”
4. Diary of A Mad Band
Karlous Miller remembers that Making The Band’s Chopper City took issue with Lous clowning a big suit he rocked in a parody video once and approached him with his peoples. Luckily nothing happened.
5. Top Three Dead or Alive
The three of them agree that Nick Cannon is “hilarious” and music wise he ranks right under The Beatles and Prince. Take that how you will.
6. Wild ‘N Out
Karlous Miller reveals that he got kicked off Wild ‘N Out show and tour. He said he came when he told Nick he was “lame as hell for going on a date with Mariah and her new dude. And then I felt it was all downhill after that.” He does admit that “I don’t think it was Nick, I think it was the white people. The white people – they never really loved me like that.”
7. Nick Cannon
After Charlamagne called up Nick Cannon, Nick first said it was the white people before saying he hear Karlous wanted off the tour and ultimately saying that Miller wasn’t fired, “he elevated.” Karlous denied ever saying he wanted off the tour and called BS on ever elevating. Hilarious.
8. Katt Williams
Chico Bean says it was “interesting” working with Katt Williams on the Wild ‘N Out tour. He also adds that Katt was humble whenever they spoke and called him a legend. Each one had a pretty funny Katt Williams story to tell too.
9. Burning Rubbers
The three comedians agree that “you can’t fall in love with a condom on.” They will say that a condom is necessary the first time just to “build up a trust.” These fools must have hella kids running around that we don’t know about.
