Jada Pinkett-Smith is speaking on her daughter Willow’s upcoming movie role in a remake of ‘Annie.’
As previously reported, the Smiths and their Overbrook Entertainment partners James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz are working with Jay-Z for a joint venture to develop and produce major motion pictures.
Included in that major motion picture deal will be the remake of the 1980s hit starring “Whip My Hair” singer Willow Smith.
Speaking on Willow’s upcoming movie role, Jada tells TheFanCarpet that they’re still in the early stages of production but working hard to finish the project.
“Were still putting the project together putting our feelers out there and figuring out what our team is going to be. But what I will say is that we’re really excited about it and were working very hard.”
In related news, Willow Smith is currently on tour with Justin Beiber.
Her latest single “21st Century Girl” was released early this month.
