Flav Claims Bounced Check Rumors False

Only a little over three months in existence, Flava Flav’s Iowa chicken restaurant is already reportedly running into some troubles.

Employees are claiming that they are unable to cash their paychecks because the checks they were issued are bouncing at banks all over town, according to a local news station.

A number of employees have reportedly come forward saying that they have been turned away when trying to cash their paycheck from Flav’s Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa.

With at least one worker claiming that, they could not even cash the check from the bank from which the check was issued. Another worker claims being unable to cash a check of only $150.

Co-owner Nick Cimino says the paycheck mishap was a ‘credit card glitch’ that has since been resolved. He blames the poor press on soured former employees.

Flav vehemently denies the allegations saying,

“It’s not true information, first of all. And second of all, maybe these are people that’s just jealous of me being here and probably want to see me out. Yes, we do have money in our accounts.”

As previously reported the former Public Enemy member opened a Flav’s Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa in January.
