Hank Aaron Gets Honorary Princeton Degree
Hall Of Famer Hank Aaron was eliminating color lines in Major League Baseball since its integration in 1954 with a grace that was unmatched. The home run king is being honored by Princeton University with an honorary degree.
Aaron was presented with an honorary doctorate of humanities. The university cited Aaron’s “imperishable example of grace under pressure” as he chased Babe Ruth’s career home run record and received racist hate mail and death threats as a result.
