Raised in the Greater Philadelphia Area, Weso has always had a deep connection to Hip-Hop and R&B, growing up listening to iconic artists such as Lupe Fiasco, The LOX, and Fabolous. This passion for music laid the foundation for his career in the industry. After graduating from Cabrini University, Weso built his career with notable roles at Hot 97, the Million Dollaz Worth of Game Podcast with Gillie Da King and Wallo267, and Hot 1079 ATL. His journey with Urban One began in 2018, where he started as a part-time board operator in Philadelphia. Through his dedication and hard work, Weso eventually rose to the position of Managing Editor for Hip-Hop Wired, where he continues to amplify the voices and stories of the culture. A key part of Weso’s mission is bridging the gap between old-school Hip-Hop and the new wave of artists. He is passionate about providing a platform for emerging talent to showcase their music, ensuring the future of hip-hop remains rooted in its rich history while evolving with fresh, new sounds.
