In week nine of his #TBT song series, Raekwon lays a verse over The Gap Band’s classic record, “Yearning For Your Love.”

Not to judge, but Raekwon’s latest #TBT release isn’t much of a throwback. But if that isn’t an issue, “When I See You” should play just fine.

Thursdays belong to Raekwon if old school grooves are your thing. For his seventh #TBT release, the veteran wordsmith shines on a track titled “Flawless.”

Longevity in Hip-Hop is no easy task, but Raekwon the Chef has managed to thrive in the game for over 20 years. The Wu-Tang Clan rapper recently linked up with GQ to talk about his new album, while getting a fresh haircut and shave at the Barclays Center.

Another Thursday, another old school tune gets reworked by Wu-Tang Clan’s own Raekwon. This time Sylvia Striplin’s 1981 classic “Give Me Your Love” receives some proper bars from the legend.

Raekwon’s #TBT series has been one of the more entertaining music series in recent weeks. His latest batch of bars can be heard on the fifth release, which are backed by The Spinners’ classic record “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love.”

While Jay Electronica, and Jay Z, helped set off the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival yesterday (July 12), the day’s headliner was Raekwon. The Chef had his own set of special guests, including Papoose, Troy Ave., AZ and Bobby Shmurda of “Hit Ni**a” fame.

Throwback Thursday has taken on an entirely new meaning now that Raekwon has begun his nostalgic song series. This time he returns with “Ooh La La La.”

Last week, Raekwon released the first of a series of tracks that sample his favorite classic records. He’s now debuted the second, titled “Stop Tripping.”

A Wu-Tang Clan allegedly named his newborn sons after Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. Some easy fact checking proved that the story was just a hoax, though.
