Tuesday's (Sep.14) Verzuz showdown between Fat Joe and Ja Rule wasn't without some controversy.

As we've learned recently, the friendly atmosphere can still be competitive and fans are now debating a potential outcome between certified hitmakers Diddy AKA Love and Jermaine Dupri.

It ain't over. Today (September 2), the next Verzuz was announced as a battle between Bronx rapper Fat Joe and Queens crooner, ahem, rapper Ja Rule.

Wayans has social media abuzz however after he floated an idea of taking on Dave Chappelle in a head-to-head competition stylized in the fashion of VERZUZ.

The LOX and Dipset had their highly anticipated battle last night (August. 3) at the MSG Theater in NYC, and the Harlem delegation of rappers barely had a chance. From the outset, the Yonkers trio of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch delivered confident energy and displayed a mastery of mics and showmanship that made their foes look like some homies doing karaoke, respectfully.

Now that outside is officially back open, the friendly battle slash celebration series has announced one of its biggest and most anticipated events yet with The Lox set to take on the Dipset crew live from New York City.

On Thursday (July 1), the vocalists squared up as part of the virtual ESSENCE Music Festival in a collaboration with VERZUZ and Triller.

Jokes are only funny for so long in Rap. It looks like after some comedic back and forth N.O.R.E. and Beanie Sigel have both agreed to a Verzuz battle.

On Saturday (Jun 26) the official battle went down, kicking off the night with Soulja Boy performing his current hit record, “She Make it Clap, before Bow Wow came out blazing with the Destiny’s Child feature on the “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” So So Def remix. Despite coming with a big gun by capitalizing on his record with Queen Bey, Soulja Boy reminded “Shad” that he worked with Beyoncé too by playing the sample from Beyonce’s “Hold Up” before going into his own smash record “Turn My Swag On.”
