It seems like “escorting” himself from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour only created an outlet for Kid Cudi to find his way into even more drama.

The rapper was arrested Monday in Los Angeles after the Los Angeles Police Department detained him, along some of his associates under suspicion of being suspects to a burglary after leaving a photoshoot taking place on Melrose Ave.

Five patrol cars wound up on the scene to subdue and place Cudi and his friends in cuffs, just to find out that it was mistaken identity and that Cudi, nor his friends, had any involvement with anything illegal at the time.

After realizing their error, the authorities were quick to let them go.  According to the authorities, a resident identified Cudi’s crew as being participants in the burglary, but it was apparently a mistake.

Speaking with NME, which he was actually doing the photo shoot for, Cudi had no ill grievances to the mistake on the part of the police and was content with the fact that it was over.

“I’m just happy to be back.  I’m a free man!  For that moment I was not free.  I was in handcuffs.  It did not feel very comfortable.”

Cudi stated that in an area such as Los Angeles, where this a lot going on at all time, the authorities may be on edge and will react to diffuse any type of situation from happening.  In the end, Cudi just go caught up in the fray.

“We’re in LA, it’s a rowdy place in the United State, you know?  And a lot of Shyte gotes down.  And these cops have to use force.  So, it’s like, I understand that they were doing their job.  I just wish we weren’t in that place at that time.”

Well Cudi can call it what he wants, but the culprit comes off as racial profiling.  Some may shudder to sound off on such a thing, but, without thinking, this is the initial thought that comes to mind as it pertains to the arrest.  LAPD, step it up.
