BET Announces New Series Starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm Jamal Warner
BET Renews The Game and Lets Stay Together
The BET networks has announced plans to air a new family comedy series starring former Girlfriends star Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm Jamal Warner, of The Cosby Show fame.
The show titled Reed Between The Lines will feature the two actors playing professional parents (she's a psychologist, he's an English professor) of three children.
The premier season airs in October.
In related news, both The Game and BET's Let's Stay Together have been renewed for 22 episode seasons.
New episodes will premier in January. On the strength of these two shows, BET had its most watched quarter ever.
The Game averaged 5.3 million; while new series Let's Stay Together claimed 2.9 million.
