Finally Famous : 10 Rappers With Pasts They Wish We Would Forget About
Claim To Fame….
Eminem is the biggest selling rap act of the 2000s. He jumped on the scene co-signed by Dr. Dre in the late ‘90s and has become one of the biggest artists ever. Everybody’s favorite white boy.
In 1993, following a bad breakup with his then Black girlfriend, Em dropped a scathing freestyle filled with racial slurs targeting Black women. The tape was later discovered by then Source owner Ray Benzino who put the Detroit rapper on front street during a well-documented beef between the two. Em later apologized, saying the freestyle was made out of anger when he was a teenager. Slim Shady would go on to have an unprecedented rap career and Benzino is, well, Benzino. Go figure.
