Mexico’s Deadly Drug War: A Look At The Violent 5-Year Conflict

Mexico enjoys the distinction of having one of the world’s most vibrant economies and is a favored tourist destination by many, with millions of international visits per year. However, the country has become infamous for less favorable reasons lately. Mexico has been ravaged by violence due to the ongoing Mexican Drug War, which was sparked in September 2006 in a most chilling fashion.

Even with the United States offering assistance to combat the powerful drug lords, Mexican drug cartels making billions in the coke and weed trade are sending clear messages that they will not be easily vanquished. Mexico is the number one supplier in the world for marijuana, with tons of the product making its way across U.S. borders. At one time, the country bested Bolivia in cocaine production, another drug that has ravaged the States for the past three decades. Heroin, human trafficking and prostitution are all also hallmarks of the drug cartels, with U.S. authorities working in tandem with Mexican officials to keep the practices at bay. Hip-Hop Wired has compiled a listing of some of the most heinous acts in Mexico due to the five-year drug war. A warning: some of the imagery is gruesome.

This is soo sad, but the truth is this will never stop until the US decides to intervene like they did in Colombia in the 90’s when Escobar was running the country. The only reason the US has yet to intervene is because all the guns supplied to cartels and paramilitars in that country come directly from the US. It is a sad reality but there is no other way to make this stop unless another country intervens. These families/Cartels are no longer killing rival cartels but anyone and everyone in that country. Life has ZERO value down there anymore. It’s a tragedy

The reality is that’s what fuelling these killings and
making billions for the Cartels is the U.S. and its addiction to drugs and
money. None of this will stop, not even so called U.S. intervention, until the
U.S. figures out a way to put a stop/end its addiction to drugs. Remember that
all the drugs, prostitution (human traffickign) and so on are not being funded by Mexicans but by
    the trafficking to U.S.

This will stop when USA stop using drug addiction as money making tool ,….Get serious about the war on drugs!!!!,…Lock up all the drug addicts in rehab centers run ed with money and properties confiscated from drug dealers, educate them about drug abuse,if they still want to drug themselves well,..let them die brain dead if is their wish,…Now start executing every one in the drug business Iran style if is possible!!!,…Here and in Mexico too starting with all the crooked politicians,…
