Black Journalist Suspended For Saying Mitt Romney Is “Comfortable” Around “White Folks” [VIDEO]

A White House correspondent for the website Politico.com, has been reprimanded for making racially tinged comments about Mitt Romney, Thursday (June 21). Joe Williams was discussing Romney’s immigration views on MSNBC, and when prodded about the presidential hopeful’s lack of connection with Hispanic voters, gave a politically incorrect response. “It’s very interesting that he does so many appearances on Fox & Friends, but it also points out a larger problem that he’s got to solve if he wants to be successful come this all.

“Romney is very, very comfortable with people who are like him. That’s one of the reasons why he seems so stiff and awkward in some town hall settings, why he can’t relate to people other than that. But when he comes on Fox & Friends they’re like him, they’re white folks who are very much relaxed in their own company.”

Not long after his segment, a conservative website caught wind of Williams’ words, and a series of tweets in which he shows an obvious support of President Obama.

In a memo announcing his suspension, Politico editors said Williams’ actions “fell short of our standards for fairness and judgment in an especially unfortunate way.”

Williams acknowledged using a “poor choice of words,” but his views were not off-base. Romney has received criticism for not relating to minorities, and will attempt to adjust his reputation with non-white voters by speaking at an NAACP convention next month.

Politico editors said Williams actions “fell short of our standards for

Translation – “You’re a ni$$er, uh, I mean African American journalist therefore we expect you to always the tow the line and follow our biased guidelines, especially when it comes to critiquing Caucasian politicians.”

It’s undeniably apparent you have issues interpreting the sarcasm behind my statement. Also FYI, actually I’m not “white” but African American.
