The Meaning Of The 5%: A Look At The Nation Of Gods And Earths

One of the more controversial stances in the Nation's teachings is the idea that the White race was created by the Black scientist Yacub many thousands of years ago. This portion of the doctrine was started with NOI teachings and embraced by the Five Percent, creating an obvious barrier between the Black members of the nation and White outsiders. Another point of criticism the Nation faces is the lack of true governance and observing of rigid laws when compared to their Black Muslim counterparts. Some Five Percent members indulge in smoking and drinking, activities generally frowned upon in the Islamic community. Because of how many interpreted Father Allah's teachings, members sought to govern themselves and set rules that are based on their own understanding of the degrees.

The Nation of Gods and Earths have found themselves in the news of late because of the aforementioned Supreme Team helmed by the notorious Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. Intercepting what New York police referred to as “five percenter language,” a ranking Supreme Team official was brought to justice last May. Even some Wu-Tang Clan members with Nation affiliation have admitted to being involved in illegal activity during their younger days.

While some Nation members have been involved in crime, there are record numbers of members who are law-abiding citizens raising strong families. Every June, the annual “Educational and Science Show and Prove” event, which just celebrated  its forty-first year, is a gathering of families, friends, performers and others under the Nation of Gods and Earths banner. There are several books written by Nation members, one of the most popular being Knowledge of Self: A Collection of Wisdom on the Science of Everything in Life. However, the best way to learn more about the Nation is by way of an actual member who can best address the curiosities of the inquisitive as was intended – by way of focused and dedicated fellowshipping and instruction.

Thanks to the Internet and social media channels, the Nation thrives today despite a much lowered presence when compared to the large cultures and faiths around the globe. There are several streams of discussion happening around the Web daily regarding Nation activities, and there are several chapters nationwide and globally where a person can learn more.

    This world and deeds that are done are based on symbolism. This is just one. Black folks these days are white on the outside that they can't see the truth nor understand the plight of being has nothing to do with anyone from black race but White-t. Ancient text, wisdom and teaching have told you not to follow white-t but yet you do. Just take a look at all those fake black reality shows, do you really think someone black is behind that? Hip Hop and Love NYC, now Atlanta? Defaming blacks is white-tee's job and most of you follow along. You're supposed to make money off white-t then go home and take care of business with your family. Black people were strong Kings and Queens. Now you tards are going on TV telling the most inner secrets of being black and black life. White-t is not your friend but your universal pimp. He/she makes black women in the street feel like ish because black men defect to white women, so black women get fake hair will make them acceptable. Well Sis, it don't. Maybe in the hood, yep outside of it, no. Showing black men as flaming moes is horrible and brothers nuts taken by females in these fake as shows. Some of you will listen to white-t talk you about your race before you listen to someone in your race. That's effed-up. I'm not saying that you have to be militant everyday, but not if there were more Clarence 13x out there, the DNA, respect and self-worth would be a lot better.

I know done type on diz enfo mation agent is writing the comment on the bssp page because if all the hundreds of thousands of people visiting this site daily you know more than one person commented on this story. The gov etc are trying to supress support of these movements so when people go to read about it and there is only one comment and the comment us negative they are unlikely to folloq that movement. People wsnt to join something that us on thw uptick. Look into the topic deeper. If ghet are going that fee to keep something away from you know it must be powerful.

Just look at the albums they created -- Paid in Full, Illmatic, 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. I'll be sure to bring that up. and Jay Electronica's debut album, of course
