The ratchet, yet addicting, antics displayed every week on VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta are not scripted—this according to producer Mona Scott-Young. During her appearance on MTV's Rap Fix Live Scott -Young was joined by the soft-voiced music producer known to the free world as Stevie J, who aided in her fight to prove that the show is all real. "We don't feed you information. It's not scripted," she said. "That's the most ridiculous thing that I hear all the time. There are like 40-something people on set. Do you think I can get them all to keep the secret? What do they do with script afterwards, eat it? This is their lives!"

Although there are many characters to be pre-occupied with, Stevie's love triangle between his girlfriend Mimi Fuast and jump-off (turned fiancé?) Joseline Hernandez, remain a focal point of the show's success. Both women are not shy about speaking their minds, and have confronted one another over their mutual love for the whispering New York native. "I just live my life. I don't even care about the cameras around. I just do what I do," Stevie explained, of the method to his madness. "If it shocks the world, then you know, I guess they're in shock."

Despite its typical storyline of Black women not getting along plus the depictions of Black men fighting and cheating,  the public has helped make the show a hit. Viewed by more than 3 million people during its June debut, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is poised to receive a second season of pure, unadulterated, foolery.
