Pennsylvania Voting Machine Gives Obama Votes To Romney [VIDEO]
A machine in Pennsylvania chose Mitt Romney as the winner, regardless of what voters wanted.
“I initially selected Obama but Romney highlighted,” wrote the developer who recorded the video. “I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney…I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. J ill Stein was selected just fine.”
After bringing the issue to the attention of an election volunteer, the worker replied by saying “It's nothing to worry about, everything will be OK.”
The story picked up steam online, and grabbed more than 5,000 comments via a Reddit thread. The machine was temporarily taken out of service, but has been put back online.
No matter the technological snags, Obama won Pennsylvania as announced late Tuesday (Nov. 6). As the race stands, the president was losing in electoral votes, but he's since pushed forward. At press time, CBS News reported that Obama had 157 votes, compared to Romney's 153 electoral votes.
A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win the nomination.
