5. Heavy D

Heavy D's career with The Boys was on fire back in the early 90s. He also paved the way for rappers of today as the first rapper to run a major music label as president of Uptown Records. It was there when he hired Sean "Diddy" Combs as an intern and developed Mary J. Blige into a star. "The Overweight Lover" also forayed into acting with memorable roles in Who's The Man?, B.A.P.S., Tower Heist, and Life.
