It’s clearly a Detroit thing on this new Slum Village track, featuring founding member T3 along side long time affiliate and new member, Young RJ, and Guilty Simpson. The track is eloquently titled “Decadence. Those who are privy to underground Hip-Hop know each MC’s lyrical prowess goes without saying.

The track represents D-town and its strong musical lineage, Hip-Hop wise, which often gets overshadowed by the city’s legendary Motown era. Young RJ produced “Decadence,” which will appear on Slum Village’s forthcoming mixtape Dirty Slums 2, hosted by the seemingly omnipresent DJ Mick Boogie. If this project is anything like the original, fans won’t be disappointed.

Take a moment to applaud T3 for doing an amazing job keeping the SV name relevant, despite the untimely passing of fellow founding members Baatin and J. Dilla. That’s a beautiful thing.

Dirty Slums 2 doesn’t hit the Internets until January 29, but feel free to stream and/or download “Decadence” below in the mean time.
