Rick Ross gave his first interview of 2013 as he was a guest on NBC's Nightcap With Peter Bailey.
Obviously filmed before his recent controversy and flanked by a limitless supply of Wingstop food, Ross talked to Bailey about his contributions to the Django Unchained soundtrack along with Quentin Tarantino's input into the song, "100 Black Coffins."
"You know Jamie Foxx produced the music, he produced the beat. Quentin had the idea of the 100 black caskets,' Ross told Bailey. "He was actually thinking about different scenes of the film because I wanted the record to connect with movie but at the same time if you just listen to it riding down the street you could picture it happening somewhere else."
If you haven't seen the movie yet, Ross' song comes at a critical point of the movie that made the Maybach Music Group CEO especially proud. "That was special for him to put it right there," Rozay said about the record. "I let him know he got a lot of cool points from the streets for that. "
Ross also went on to talk about Spike Lee's harsh criticism of the film, adding that everyone is "entitled to their own opinion" about the film.
