Snoop Lion drops the official video for “Lighters Up,” featuring Mavado and Popcaan, from his forthcoming Reggae album, Reincarnated

In the visual, copious amounts of that greeny green are smoked by civilians and the artists alike.

VICE and Snoopadelic Films recently announced that documentary, Reincarnated, that follows Snoop’s journey to Jamaica and his decision to follow Rastafarianism and create a Reggae album will be in theaters nationwide on March 15. Andy Capper, who is also behind the lens for the “Lighters Up” video, directed the film.

Recently, the former Snoop Dogg was threatened with a lawsuit by Reggae legend Bunny Wailer, who claims his “spiritual awakening” as a Rasta may not be sincere.

“You know one thing about Bunny Wailer, is that if you ain’t real, he ain’t gonna be around you,” Snoop told Large Up. So the dynamics of what we were doing and what accomplished and what we are as a unit as a team brought that together,” Snoop said in the interview. “The spirit definitely brought that together cause that’s my big brother and he needed to hit me with some information that was off camera that wasn’t captured. It was information that me and him shared that was private and that was special and was some seeds that I know will continue to grow.”

Reincarnated, the film, will premiere in six cities; New York City (Sunshine Cinemas), Los Angeles (Laemmle Monica and City Walk), San Francisco (Opera Plaza), Chicago (Century), Atlanta (Midtown Art Cinema) and Miami (O Cinema).

Still no word on when we can expect to hear Reincarnated the album, which will be entirely produced by Major Lazer.
