New York has been dishing out legal fades and edge ups to several drug kingpins in the past few weeks. The latest in the parade of coke dons to get time in the slammer is Jamaican drug lord Christopher M. Coke, a notorious dealer whose manhunt led to a staggering 70-plus deaths in his native Jamaica. Earlier today, a federal judge in Manhattan dropped the gavel and gave the unfortunately named Coke 23 years in racketeering charges, reports the New York Times.

Coke pled guilty last August and copped to running a drug operation that shipped crack and other narcotics between Jamaica and New York. The feds said Coke, who ran tings (couldn’t resist) from Tivoli Gardens in Kingston, Jamaica, was so powerful that the local authorities couldn’t touch him. Gruesome details from the Times report say that Coke, according to an inside man who cooperated with authorities, would lock up his rivals and debtors then savagely butcher them for over owed money or stolen drugs.

“Coke assumed the role of judge, jury and at times, executioner,” the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan said to the judge presiding over the case in a memo earlier this week.

At least the fallen drug lord can answer the questions “what’s your name” and “what are you’re in for” with one swift answer. We’re here all night, folks. Also, check out Coke’s infamous “disguise” on the next page.
