Don’t tell Rush Limbaugh, but President Obama is still on Chris Christie’s good side. The New Jersey governor placed a phone call congratulating the president on his re-election, but the most awkward part is all Mitt Romney got was an email.

Of course Christie’s decision is sure to be skewered by conservatives, some of whom view him as a political traitor for  aligning himself with Romney, but praising Obama’s post-Sandy relief efforts. “We didn’t’ have a political strategy discussion,” Christie assured the masses.  “I said ‘Congratulations on your win last night, Mr. President.

Christie pretty much secured his position as a candidate in 2016, or a later election, during his keynote address at the Republican National Convention. Although he was supposed to be setting the tone for the Republican candidate, the 50-year-old held onto the spotlight and didn’t mention Romney until 16-minutes into his speech.

Since losing the race, Romney officially conceded Florida Thursday (Nov. 8), but Republicans are still unwilling to accept defeat. After all but losing his mind on Election Night, Karl Rove showed that he has no intentions of letting the loss go, announcing on Fox News that President Obama won the nomination by “suppressing the vote.”

Romney has pretty much distanced himself from Rove’s nonsense, and as for his relationship with Christie things might not be as sugary as they once were. When asked about corresponding with Romney, Christie simply said. “We haven’t spoken on the phone yet.”

Sounds like trouble in paradise.
