Going to the Grammys for the first time is potentially nerve-wracking, but Frank Ocean showed no signs of pre-show jitters during his performance at the Levi’s 501 jeans 140-Year Anniversary Party Friday (Feb. 8).
The New Orleans native closed out the event, held at the Ace Museum in Los Angeles, and featured several pairs of Levi’s jeans on display.
Ocean performed tracks off his critically acclaimed Channel Orange debut, including “Crack Rock,” “Sierra Leon,”and “Pyramids.” As he does in mostly every appearance, Ocean donned his signature red and white headband as he ran through each song, in front of a crowd of 600 people. Showing his wide range of appeal, celebrity audience members like Michael K. Williams, Zoe Saldana, and Solange Knowles were as interested in the set, as his legions of other fans.
In addition to being up for six Grammy nominations, Ocean is also billed to perform on the show.
