Rumors of Vado signing with DJ Khaled’s We The Best record label were finally confirmed, and as a New Yorker, it was only right for him to commemorate his newly formed deal on Hot 97 with Funkmaster Flex. With the aforementioned Khaled by his side and a Versace scarf draped over his crown, the Harlemite kicked a freestyle over Biggie’s classic “Who Shot Ya?”
“Shout out Medusa,” exclaimed the Slime Flu rapper before letting a few of his patented witty lines fly like, “I’m in a thick a$$ Cuban, call it Cubana Lust/ Just made a trip to Havana like I demand a crust.” We only ask that you tuck your phone next time though family. Those rhymes should be memorized.
Fans won’t have to patiently wait to see Vado’s first move as a member of DJ Khaled’s team. The young lyricist has already dropped a new track featuring Ace Hood, Meek Mill, and French Montana titled “Don’t Make Me Do It,” that’s set to appear on Flex’s Who You Mat At? Me or Yourself? mixtape.
