Brooklyn’s own The Incomparable Shakespeare drops a visual for the song “Tried by 12 Brooklyn Kidz.” Sonically paying homage to Jemini the Gifted One (“Brooklyn Kids”), The East Flatbush Project (“Tried By 12”) and MC Lyte (“Paper Thin”), Shake captures the essence of vintage Brooklyn.
Referencing nostalgic items such as Ralph Lauren, 8-Ball Jackets and Ballys, the Brooklyn MC takes you on a lyrical journey through his upbringing. Shake also makes sure to big up Lo-Head massive; shouting out Mayhem Lauren, Thirstin Howl III and many others who make cameos in the clip as well.
The rising MC is dropping an album in August called By Any Dreams Necessary. Check out the video for “Tried By 12 Brooklyn Kidz” below and let us know what you think in the comments. Also, check out a couple of freestyles, “Hiatus Unique” and “Re_Mind Complexity,” on the flip.
