Within the last couple of years, the battle rap culture has attempted to give Hip-Hop the shot in the arm it needed to bring the focus back to skills. Harlem bred Loaded Lux took the platform to even newer heights with his monumental performance last year that spawned the “you’re going to get this work” catch phrase, beloved. But with all those aggressive bars it is no surprise battles sometimes go very, very wrong.
Most recently during URL’s Summer Madness 3 card, Math Hoffa two pieced Serius Jones during their battle. But sadly this is not the first nor last time a war of lyrical words will devolved into physical blows. So we take a look at the 10 most memorable instances of Rap battles gone wrong. Be forewarned, these videos do include a fairly large amount of struggle bars.

In an infamous battle that went wrong, newcomer Dose got a bit too close to Math Hoffa’s face. The result was a right hook that sent Dose’s hat and crew flying. Serius Jones felt that same right hook at Summer Madness 3.
Here two struggle rappers battle each other with their struggle bars in the street. When struggle rapper #1 makes a false accusation about his fellow struggle rapper opponent’s last name, struggle rapper #2 and his struggle posse proceed to beat the brakes off struggle rapper #1. Thankfully no real rappers were hurt in the making of this video.
In this female Rap battle, Couture clowned on Ms. Pac so hard she apparently starts crying and leaves the battle before the judges can score the battle.
Please note if you are participating in a non league sanctioned struggle rapper battle bring back up. This unfortunate struggle rapper punched a wall in frustration and his opponent took that as a threat and thus proceeded to stomp his ears together.
Here a struggle rapper includes a bystander in his punchline and gets punched in return. The result is a brawl that leaves a couple of people on the floor. Peep how the dude who threw the first punch back peddled out of that situation faster than Consequence. SMH.
In the weakest punch probably ever thrown at a Rap battle, struggle bars mention someone’s dysfunctional parents and a soft right hand that doesn’t even land makes an appearance.
In a weird turn of events west coast battle rapper Daylyt rubs his genitals in front of the crowd then proceeds to massage his hands on his opponent’s head. Not cool bro.
How can we forget when Charles Hamilton got served a fade while he battled his, alleged, child’s mother Brianna? While wearing shedloads of pink too.
In what probably popularized the struggle battle rapper craze, Niks styles heavily on E-N-J. When the cal is mentioned for the umpteenth time, E-N-J takes a swing and all hell breaks loose.
Never has a struggle rapper shown more Hip-Hop fortitude then when Franco kept rhyming after getting swung on by an opponent twice his size.
