All the Scorpios and Sagittarius may have a new anthem soon. Jeezy and YG already professed their affiliations for one another and their chemistry is evident with their new pairing on “Birfday.”
Of course you don’t have to be anticipating getting older to enjoy the track. The CTE boss irons things out on the chorus with “Everyday my birthday, balling when we get this out, at least that’s what the work say.”
YG has been taking his time since being named a XXL Freshman in the 2011. While other rappers have came and went with a lightning bolt shot at fame, he’s been building a loyal fanbase in his homestate of California.
Scored by frequent Jeezy collaborator, Tony Rey the record already assumes a party vibe that will make it a winner in the clubs. But by attaching the birthday label, it ensures the record’s timelessness. Every day on every club night, there’s someone celebrating a birthday, thus making the DJ’s job that much easier.
This single will shoulder the load for promotion while YG finishes up his debut, My Krazy Life.
