Rihanna can now add Creative Director to her list of job titles. The superstar has taken said position with Puma, where she’ll oversee the woman’s line.
WWD confirms the news. Rih Rih will use her fashion savvy to guide the designs of clothing and apparel in Puma’s fitness and training line. The sporting goods brand flew out the singer to their headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, on Monday (December 15), where she joined the creative team to have a discussion of the line’s direction.
Puma’s CEO Bjørn Gulden said: “Signing Rihanna is a fantastic step for Puma. Her global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition – all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand. We’re delighted to have her as a partner, and we’re looking forward to what’s to come.”
Rihanna has also been named a Global Brand Ambassador, a titled shared by Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and football star Mario Balotelli; she’s also to appear on the Puma’s ad campaign for fall 2015.
